  • Most miles are done on my pickup..

I was looking for the RR, and I was a bit shocked to find it just in front of my rear wheel, where I am sure it will be sprayed generously with mud soon, as I live in a rural area.
As this RR has to dissipate heat, I feel that in time this will create troubles.
Now I am thinking about relocating it to somewhere under the headlight.
I would prefer to make an extension cable and not to have to cut and solder the cables. But the connectors, at least one of them, appear to be specific for Royal Enfield and not easily obtainable.
I am talking about the later RR with 7 cables, and this connector has a funny orange sliding tab.
So, is all of this a reasonable idea ?
Are the connectors for sale somewhere ?
Does somebody have better suggestions ?

I moved one of mine to the rear of the left side box, after the origional bracket broke.
Off route, recalculate?

The B5 has the RR under the headlight behind a small grill between the forks which is a great place to have it with an uninterrupted flow of air to keep it cool.
