PAV unit .

Can I remove the PAV unit as I no longer have the normal air box ?

Yes.

Just removing the PAV system will leave you with loads of air leaks, so you will need a 16x1.5mm thread plug on the cylinder head once you have removed the adapter (or you can leave the union in place and get a female threaded blanking cap for it), and you will also need to plug any hose union from the carburettor mount.
