Which windscreen did you end up with? Tried the 'tall' flyscreen and 2 consecutively larger generic
ones, neither of which is any better than the flyscreen. Put the single Continental seat on, which lowers me a couple inches, but wind still hits me in the eyeballs.
Thanks.

After I decided not to use the RE short screen I tried a nice little Puig item that had been on my SV650.  It's about 10 inches tall and fixes to the headlamp bracket bolts.   It looked decent but a brief test demonstrated horrid turbulence at a moderate 55 mph cruise so that one is back on the shelf.

I'm done with the small windscreen idea.  They never seem to work for me.

The aero on my V Strom is horrendous ......the SV650 as bad? Have you replaced or extended the mirrors? Not sure if they are the same but it made a significant difference on my Strom. Plus adding one of those deflectors on top of the Puig Sport screen helped a lot.

My SV 650 was an N model, no fairing at all and it was about like any other unfaired bike with respect to wind blast. The little Puig screen was really just for looks.  It didn't help or hinder on that bike.  It sure doesn't work on the RE twin.  I had a second gen KLR with their fairly elaborate fairing and that sucker created so much noise and turbulence that it drove me crazy.

These days I rarely ride over 65 to 70 mph and usually less than 100 miles so wind blast is not a big deal even with my high and wide flat track bars.

I think the annoying aspects of shield induced turbulence are tied up with ambient wind direction as much as speed.  In this part of Arizona spring  is the windy season.  If the forecast is 5 to 10 mph winds I'll ride but when it's 12 to 15 or more I stay home as the occasional "rogue" gusts can move a rider several feet with no warning.  Couple a gusty day with dirty air from a big hay truck and it's really scary.

I have this Puig screen, which I think is the one others are referring to. I really like it, but to each his own. It’s inexpensive and looks like it was made for the Interceptor. It keeps a lot of wind pressure off of my body, and my helmet is in clean air. I had to make a few adjustments to the angle to get it just right. I’m 5’11” and use the stock seat.

Yep, that's the one I have.  I've tried it on the Enfield twice with poor results.  I used it on my KLR after removing the stock fairing and windshield.  It didn't help but didn't hinder on that bike, same as on my SV 650N.

As always......YMMV.
