Got 2006 electra x. Leaking oil from gearlever. Is the oil seal on the other side of casing or further in needing clutch removal thanks kevin

   Mine is a 2006, also.
   The leaking is at the seal for the shift lever. There are two seals, one on each end of the shaft. Same size The Parts Manual does not show the seal for the side cover, for some reason. Only the one on the RH side of the gear box. AND they only say Qty 1ea.  :o The shaft is the same diameter at each end for each seal.

   According to my Parts Manual, Sect. 05-10, Location # 23, the Oil Seal original part # is 550102/A.
   This has since been superseded by part #550601, which also applies to my '12 C5. I used one of my stock for the C5 and it fits very well. No leaks on my '06 in over 2 years.

I'm not sure where you are located, but I have the seals in stock if you are in the U.S
