That is absoultely stunning! If they made a street legal version I would be seriously interested! That could be the basis of Scrambler as well.

I read somewhere that the complete kit will be available from S&S at around $4,500.00

An ugly duckling transformed into a swan! First class job! Is that an "official" Royal Enfield build or done by an independent shop?

With S&S doing the mods I am guessing they also threw in some engine mods......maybe a 500cc kit or some cam/valves/piston work. If I knew I could get 35 or thereabouts HP out of a Himalayan, without breaking the bank (who wants to spend $2 grand for some extra power on a $4,800 bike?) I would buy one of these in a heartbeat. I LIKE the looks of the stock Himalayan!

Hitchcocks is offering a 462 big bore kit, but looks like it only gets you an additional 3 hp.  About 24 hp total on the dyno.  Not worth it in my estimation.

It's actually a pretty decent gain  looking at the Dyno chart.    Yeah... 3 peak HP at the top end where very little time is spent.    But a good increase in total HP and torque across the range.   And it looks like a good 5-7 increase in HP and torque in the mid range where the  vast majority of the time is spent in the rev range.   I'd hold that throttle at about 5300 rpm's.     Cams would shove  those increases up higher in the RPM rang....

Well ... I just noticed the Dyno chart on the upper left side,  the stock bike still had the stock intake on it , and the big bore had their free flowing intake on it.    So not a true apples to apples .   But the intake is something someone would do anyway , because it would be needed.     Still not bad though.   Cams and a better exhaust would put that bike into the 30's....   It DOES start adding up though, both in money and HP  :D

In a bike like the Himalyan, how much HP, approx, is lost getting to the rear wheel? And how much does that big bore kit cost? I have not been home to check HC and have to run out now.........work........sigh.

Well.. if it's like a UCE it's about 30 % !!   They claimed 27 and you wind up with 19 ?!  Hahaha !   But it is likely not THAT much .     The factory claims 24 hp, and from the different Dyno sheets I have seen, they come out between  that 22-24 HP  area.  So it's a good thing that they are now being more honest with the numbers.   They must now be publishing REAL rear wheel numbers.   I believe there is a standardized  SAE  testing procedure  that the manufactures use and Enfield may have got on board with it ?    Not sure about the cost  ?   It's shows the kit not available...

Comparing the UCE 500 motor to this 410 Himalayan motor is a bit like comparing apples to Oranges though.  Displacement is't everything.     Push rod over head valve motor .. which wastes a lot of power just running .  Vs an overhead cam motor .. more efficient with less wasted power .  No cam gears and oil pump gears meshing together... lifting a very long and heavy valve train.  Higher compression ratio and etc.  Sprockets and a thin light cam chain operating the cams directly off of the crank shaft and etc.  A smaller ,lighter  and counter balanced crankshaft running through that pool of oil under it .... Compared to the BIG and massively heavy UCE crank and etc.  This is the motor they should replace the UCE 350 with in the Bullets  and a little bigger version in the 500 Bullets I think.  Compare 650cc V Strom motor against a Harley 1200 cc Sportster motor... they make about the same power .
