The brown truck of happiness came by today and I've just finished putting on the up swept exhaust on my C5! it looks and sounds brilliant, the sound is very close to the short muffler but it thumps a bit deeper. I'm big happy with it!
-
Looks great!!
-
Looks good, wonder how it would look on the G5.
Cheers :)
-
You finally got it, Br. Dannie... looking great... good for you, brother!
-
Thanks guys, it was worth the wait.
-
Now that's a real classic looking exhaust!
I think it's a big improvement.
-
It looks loud. :P
-
It's not loud, it just sounds right. ;D
-
Any noticeable performance increase?
-
There is definately a performance increase, I have no way to tell how much but I'd guess 3 or 4 HP.
-
Loud is a relative term R80RT. I've heard the shorties on Irons and AVLs. To me, their loud. Underline 'to me'. ;D
-
I know what you mean about loud being relative, I think my bike sounds sweet, my buddy on his drag piped Harley can't even hear it running. His bike is obnoxiously loud :D
-
I hear that R80! Or, err, I wish I hadn't heard that. ;D
-
Just got mine.
Its going on the bike right now.
My number crunching tells me it should be good for 1-1.5 BHP.
It still has a muffler. So it cant be that loud.
To get 2-3 BHP knock out that muffler.
Cut it where the bulb starts and replace bulb with a tapered cone. aka Megaphone exhaust.
Now that would be loud and fast. ;D
Im still conditioning the guy who stay on our street.
First the stock ex.
Then the performance ex.
Then on glorious Sunday morning at 6am the Megaphone ex. :o
The best part. The cops dont bother troubling Bullet owners for loud exhausts.
Our bikes come from the factory with only one cat con. Your bikes have two. So you guys probably see more gains.
