Tested a paint remover on the rear bracket. Worked out well, looks soo much better.

Takes lots of time though. Need to hire someone to do the polishing on the forks and triple tree I think.  ;D

Wow! That looks awesome!

Mind if I ask how you went about this? I'm considering it for the forks/trees too. Winter project possibly. Looks awesome Otto!

Oh thanks. It's fairly easy, paint it with a paint remover from the supermarket, you can wrap it in a plastic foil and let it sit over night. Next day you scrub down everything with a steel wool and the polishing can start.

Finished a 2000 Km tour in the Himalaya. The bike ran like a champ.  Even at over 18,000 feet I was leaving KTMs, RE Himalayans and Bullets in my dust.

Tinfoil should do the job as well.  ;D

It's just so that the paint remover doesn't dry off before it has done it's job.

Cool, that's really high up. Some people might need oxygen supply.

My wife's bike could have used a little more Oxygen.  She had the smallest available jet and the air filter had to be removed just to keep it running.  Full throttle and paddling was needed on some of the steep sections.  She is a gamer.  That is her in the pic.

Thanks.  We have bicycle toured all over Europe and this was one of our best tours ever. Even if there were motors involved.  My wife borrowed a motorcycle to learn how to ride 2 months ago.  She did great!

Ya, such a waste of rubber, the sides are like new.  ;D

I think it's impossible to take this rear tire to the edge. Well, maybe Rossi could...?

Its same for me, Otto. Bits of the frame and/or rider drags still with plenty of tyre to go. Same for the hero knobs. They only touch when the bike is on its side then they snap off. But +1, maybe Rossi can do it :)
How many km from that tyre?
