Not sure to what extent available in USofA, but this months (December!) edition of Classic Bike Guide has an interesting feature on a 666cc (hence "Beast") Bullet. In a minimalist Clubman form it really is a wolf in the proverbial sheep's clothing by the sound of it!

I'd like to see that.

I googled the magazine, and found the site, which asked me for about $100 to have a year's subscription. Not my idea of a good deal.
-
I'll have a go at scanning some of it at least and linking (when my IT advisor i.e. my son!) is around. I may have to pass the hat around for contributions to the copyright infringement fine!
The man who breathes on them "normally" takes 'em out to 725, but with an under-sized (!) crank from his sub-contractor he fitted a 92mm piston to give "a swept volume of 666cc". I'm simply quoting you understand - not being a mechanic!

You can find this magazine at Barnes & Nobles in the US. I've bought it there plenty of times. I'd stay away from providing copies of a readily available magazine and especially handing it out here. I think our host could be held liable.

Thanks DJ for that information - I haven't been near a Barnes and Noble for years, time to remedy that, I think.
-
If it's "available", then, yes best not pirated!

No reason why shouldn't give the name of the builder - Tollgate Classic, but website not exactly functioning yet!
"At the moment this is just a holding page for Tollgate Classics
I specialise in making Royal Enfield and Indian Enfield Bullets go faster and give better reliablity.

Didn't they make a 750cc Bullet once? Also, an FYI... as of October 29th my local Barnes & Noble did not have the December issue yet.

The biggest capacity mentioned is a 725: " ....Mr H can m'chine the barrel to take a 95mm liner ....and the cases and head to accommodate this and a 102mm crank to produce a whopping great 725cc single." Source: CBG Dec 2007.

How Much $$$$$$$$? Very interesting! I like the ideal of a BIGGER BORE Single.
-
Some like the BIGGER BORE and some like the LONGER STROKE....
very interesting....
-
Sounds like it would be harder to kickstart than an xlch.......Dew.
-
Don't think I would do it myself, but it is always fun to see something done to extremes.

Just a heads up that this issue is FINALLY available here in the states. I picked up a copy at Barnes & Noble today, issue #199
