Thanks BRW-

He was gone before I arrived here, but his spirit must, to an extent, live on here in his many forum posts.  Go and read through the Ride Reports archives, people, and you'll see.  The banter between Uncle Ernie and BRW in those threads borders on comic genius!

BRW: Thanks for the reminder about Uncle Ernie....He was a avid rider of motorcycles and a active part of this community ..Glad to see a small part of his life burned into our board memory...GM

There's that pic! Thanks  BRW, I have been looking for that pic for my slideshow. I had no idea he was still fairly young . Anyone ever find out what brought him down? F'n shame really.

GM, You are correct. Now i remember, some kind of complications from the wreck.  He was only 3 years older than I.  Scary, as we age, we become about as durable as a teacup.

Recently I've been nosing around some other forums about other bikes - I keep running into old posts of Uncle Ernie's!  That guy was everywhere, and I'm being haunted by him - in the best way, of course!

Knew him through posts and PM's, he was a hoot.
The banter back and forth between him and BRW was a source of many smiles. Still is.  Search up some of their threads and posts.  :)

Anyone interested in reading some of Uncle Ernie's posts can follow this link which shows them.

All 167 pages worth.  :)

Unfortunately, it starts off with Ernie's last post and I suggest you skip reading it and go on to his earlier posts to find out what a great guy he was.

Click on the "re: Post Name" to be teleported to the whole topic.

Another bump as a reminder.

I recently acquired an old Honda 4, so I found my way onto a new "specialty forum."  Mucking around through the archives, I bumped square into... you guessed it, Uncle Ernie.  I keep following him around, years too late...  :'(
