That's true, but it's never kept any of us from looking for it. ;D
Indeed.  The solution is to win the lottery, buy a large selection, and hire a mechanic to keep them all nice so you can just get up in the morning and say "Chadwick, I'm in a 650 mood today, pick me out something in red would you?"

at the pond today. if you're very very quiet, and move very very slowly, you can get quite close. and then the dog shop.

enabler. :D something bigger than 250 i think would be better, 350-500, just so it doesn't rattle the fillings out of my teeth. last time i was there (76?) it was hitchhiking.

The Hairy Bikers ,I think it was, did Route 66 and I seem to remember a lot of the original route has now been bypassed . Is that correct ?

Yuppers. Sections remain. There's a whole cult around it. The 400 miles or so in Arizona and a fair bit in California are usable still. Do not miss La Posada in Winslow ( https://laposada.org/ ), Delgadillo's Snow Cap in Seligman, & you haven't lived until you've had a biggo mug of Ludlow coffee made from real "desert water". ;D
