Indeed, I parted ways with my Interceptor several years ago but I did hear from the current owner recently.  I asked him about a couple of mods I'd done.  The Monza cap install is completely solid with no issues with the JB Weld, the home-brew rim sealant is still leak free after a couple more sets of tires.

The mystery stalling, which was why I gave up on the bike, was finally fixed with a new ECU and a complete wiring harness re-fit

Total mileage reported is 18 thousand from my original 7K.

I'm still riding and loving my V7III Moto Guzzi which shares my shop with a year old XSR 900 Yamaha but I'll cop to still missing the RE, it was a peach.

Yes had just watched that actually. Very interesting indeed. A question that occurred to me is what is to stop one reverting to the Bullet gearing with higher capacity pumps? I did a search on Google and this and Hitchcocks old forum but couldn't find anything relevant. I believe they largely sorted the issue with the Interceptor but would be interested to know how.

I've got a 2020 500 Bullet with ABS, obviously one of the last ones.

Apart from a torn accelerator cable no issues so far (almost 10.000 miles on the clock) and no quality complaints either.

ABS (rear) saved my bacon once ...I'd rather have it than not.

Myself I can't think of any reason not to send these instigators directly to the Soylent vats or compost heap. Maybe look hard at regular viewers of this material. This is about as antisocial as it gets. The premeditation says it all.

Most of our troubles are from failure to police our own bad behavior. The whole drug issue is a good example. People have always  liked recreational drugs. Ether was big in the 1800's, opium for centuries before that. Remember Laudanum and early days "Coca Cola"?. Exporting vast quantities of money offshore merely fuels political & economic instability there. We are accountable for that. Maybe produce the drugs here using Mom 'n Pop farms, keep costs low, spread the wealth and let nature take its course. Pull the Narcan out of the system to speed up the process. Darwinian selection will whittle it down to mostly the folks exercising restraint on their recreational consumption. This happened with alcohol long ago. It's already illegal to drive equipment while buzzed, so pulling licenses for offenders shouldn't be a problem. Let them take the bus or ride a 50cc motorcycle for 5 years.

Bumping this old thread wondering how the monza caps are holding up? I still haven't done this mod but I really think I should in the new year. Anyone else have any installation tips or short cuts?

pretty sure the OP no longer owns the bike anymore. sold it for a moto guzzi if i recall correctly.
