It seems apparent, to me at least, that Mahindra subsidiary Classic Legends, has purchased a license to use the JAWA name and logo in India.  If you look at the dealer map for the India produced machines, you will see, no dealership is further afield than Bangladesh.  https://www.jawamotorcycles.com/find-a-dealer/   I suspect that Mahindra's licensing deal does NOT let them sell bikes to other markets.  The Classic Legends JAWA uses tweaked cam engine internals from the Mahindra MOJO, which appears to be the largest of the Mahindra bike line and has been produced since 2008.

JAWA machines are still being produced in the Czech Republic:
https://www.jawa.eu/about-us
These bikes are different than the India produced machines, and ARE available in Europe and in various other countries including South American.  https://www.jawa.eu/links
I believe there may be distribution of Czech JAWAs in Mexico, and possibly a couple of locations in the USA.

I don't think we will see the India produced Classic Legends JAWA outside of India anytime soon.  If I was a lawyer for JAWA Moto spol. s r.o. in the Czech Republic, I think I'd be arguing that Mahindra's use of an internet domain named jawamotorcycles  dot com represents an international presence, and should be changed.  This web presence is certainly confusing and makes it seem like the Classic Legends JAWA is the real and only JAWA.

If you didn't find the JAWA posting on BHP, here's a link to it

Thanks, my friend, but in all honesty all I really cared about is that you guys got to see Mr. Bald riding on the back of a JAWA with the drunk Russian (actually I forget at the moment what ex-USSR Republic they were in) and also push a little history, but I guess not too many cared.

I probably would have posted the same thing if it was a URAL. JAWA was just a part of my early learning about motorcycles in the late '40s and '50s when I was sending off for every brochure that ever appeared in Mech Illustrated and Pop Mechanics. From 11 on in 1949 I would study these brochures that I had piles of for hours trying to figure out what everything was and all the differences. Of course, I was also being permanently imprinted on harleys at the same time. I just love ALL kinds of motorcycles of ALL ages and types and their history and heritage and evolution is just as important to me.
