Title: And then there were two!!!
Post by: michigandon on April 24, 2008, 10:50:59 am
The Mrs likes the way that my Classic rides, drives, and shifts, so we pulled the trigger on a slightly used Electra!  ;D It's a red '06 with a Goldstar pipe and 400-some odd miles. Why do I have the feeling that it's going to be a great summer?  8)

You're lucky, or unlucky, can't tell which. My wife is afraid of bikes. It gives me something to do alone, or with other riders. I love my wife dearly, but sometimes it's nice to just get away and do my own thing.

My partner has just decided to do a basic course to try out being the actual rider, not pillion.

We were out riding two-up today, and I feel really excited about the idea that we might be out on two bikes soon!

Sharing a love for something, but riding on the RE alone - seems to me the ultimate in being together while still having some space!

My wife came with (and still has) an '88 Superglide and we have ridden many thousands of miles together over the years.  Had great fun and met lots of great people.  A great way to travel and you can carry so much more stuff with two bikes.

Unfortunately, since a double hip replacement, (nothing to do with wrecking) she does not like to ride anymore.  The Harley hasn't been out of the garage in two years because I do not like to ride it (It is lowered slightly for her and I make too many sparks).  Trying to talk her into selling it.

Thinking of buying a larger, two up, touring machine.  Rented a 1200GS a few years back in Spain and I loved it.  Those expanding saddle bags are fantastic although you need a "Wide Load" sticker on the back.
