Title: upswept exhaust

hey pals, does anyone have experience with the upswept exhaust? I really like the look but I guess I would prefer the pillion foot pegs

The up swept exhaust looks really good, but it seems to me that you give up too much.  Instead, I'm thinking of a short, twenty inch muffler that has a 45% tapered cutoff, so that it ends not much further back than the back foot pegs, does away with the long muffler hanging out the back and also would give a lot less exhaust flow restriction.  I'm committed to the safari rack set up and I would have to give that up with either a high pipe or an up swept one.
