Those MPG figures might be for an urban commute.
I don't know what RE is claiming for the Meteor, but look what zigwheels said:
"What is the expected mileage of Royal Enfield Meteor?Zigwheels | 3 months ago
As of now, there is no official update from the brand's end. However, in our road test the Meteor 350 delivered 41.9 kmpl in the city and 38.8 kmpl on the highway."
Riders seem to be reporting a solid 35kpl average:
https://www.bikewale.com/royalenfield-bikes/meteor-350/mileage/I wonder how many of the machines tested have even completed their break in? Has the Meteor been assigned the same, (snails pace) factory break-in process as the UCEs?
Maybe Jarod has a powerful right wrist, or maybe one of the other staff members over at Auto-X has figured out how to ride on the sly, with with odo disconnected. (Who hasn't done that, with a rental car, or drive-away, back in the day) Or maybe a "22" slipped by the copywriter when "32" was intended.
Lots of folks are math challenged. My buddy swears he got 27 mpg in his F150 one day. This is why I like Fuelly, it does the calculatin' for you, regardless of your mood or the condition of your pencil point.
