Greetings from down under, I have being visiting the Royal Enfield U.S forum for three years now , and have enjoyed reading all the information and advice that everyone posts , thankyou to all, I can not believe the passion people around the world have for Royal Enfield.
Three years ago, I was looking for a new bike but wanted something different, old looking, but with new technology.
Looked up British Bikes and wandered into the local British Bike Shop in my town, and there she was,I fell in love the first time I saw her my new 2010 C5 Bullet in Black.
I just needed to change a few things to make her mind, I am nearly there ,yet to replace the front sprocket to 19t and change the chain, will replace the tyres later, and wait for ACE to do their thing, I hope you all like what I have done.

Welcome to the forum buddy! Great looking C5 you got there :D Queensland eh, NSW represent here! ;D This is a very helpful forum with great people, I'm sure you know this already sicne you've been browsing for 3 yrs ;)
By the way, I really like that swing arm pivot cap you have with the RE logo. Where did you source that from?
-
Thanks JVS,
You are right about the US forum, you get to see and read what the rest of the world is doing, sometimes you feel like nothing is happening down here in Oz.
The pivot cap is a fuel cap badge from Hitchcock's in the UK, I've got a few more photos to up load.

Hey, the bike looks great. Like the seat. Also like the rear rack. Did you get it from enfield or somewhere else?
-
woudn't mint trying one of those seats. was it a direct fit and the price. had one of the racks -it looks the part too.
any problems wiring up your indicators. i've had a set of those for 6 months -still in the box. i might do it some time
-
Really clean bike. Lots of subtle touches.

Hi kammer, Thanks, the rear rack is an Enfield stock item, from my dealer.

Hi Wildbill, I Had the seat custom made, everything I looked at in life I did not like, its hard to image a seat on a web site, so I had a local guy make it, had to make some L brackets so the seat that came with the bike, can be put back on, I never liked the back light it just looked wrong, the small bullet lights I think look the part , drilling was the hardest part used all the same wiring.

Thanks Scott, I agree with you, small details make a bike your own.

Hi Wildbill,
The guys name is Coxy, he charged me $400.00 to make and custom fit it to the bike.

Black...Nice bike! How did you attach your RE Fuel Cap covers to the swing arm?

Hi kc Royal,
I used the swing arm cap the bike comes with, I just had to reshape it to fit the radius shape of the RE fuel cap cover, I used a 2 PAC glue to attach, then after the glue has harden, I pushed the cap on using a little silicon, so no one steals it.

Welcome to the Forum, and thanks for sharing the pictures of your bike, really great Job, yes I believe all "RE" Guys and Gals are really great people after all its the "great taste" we all have in common.
I was wondering where you purchased the Tail/brake light and the emblem below the brake light from, I would love to put that on my bike if possible....
Cheers

Hi Mark,
Thankyou, Bare is right, you can buy them from any good bike bits dealer, when you remove the old tail light fitting, there is a large square hole which needs to be covered, I found the RE emblem on the web, their are lots of dealers on the web, its solid brass.

Nice project !
I'm envious of those swing arm caps..... where did you find them ?
-
Brilliantly done!
The stock swing arm caps do look a bit cheesy, and I was wondering what to do with them.
Genius, brother, genius!
