Title: Fork bushing sources?
Post by: AgentX on August 26, 2012, 04:16:24 pm
I have fork play I'm trying to fix in an old-school fork (screw-down oil seals, drum brake, fender strut mounts).  Indian-made aftermarket parts are worse out of the box than my worn-out bushings, and the parts guys all tell me genuine RE parts are not available.

I see Hitchcock's has some (for serious money, but hey, if they work...) and have emailed them.  Don't see anything on Nfieldgear or any other site I can find.

Anyone know another source besides Hitchcock?  I think my only other option is to update the entire front end to the new-model sliders and disc brake.  (Might not be too expensive here in India, either...hmm...)

Try Domi Racer.  DomiRacer.com has their particulars.

They run an internet business, but on Saturday mornings they are in the shop open to the public from (I think) 0900 to 1300 Cincinnati time.  They are nice enough to deal with; I'm sure they will talk to you.

Good luck.

Thanks--I already ordered from Hitchcock's, though.  Hopefully they'll be here soon.
