Title: Anti Corrosion protection
Post by: Marrtyn on February 18, 2009, 02:15:10 pm
Hi All
Just about ready to recieve my new Enfield. I have been reading about ACF 50 and it sounds too good to be true. - in particular protection from the nasty old salt spread over the roads in winter. It would appear that it can be sprayed all over appart from brakes, footrest rubbers, hand grips etc.-even the electrics. Like I say it reads pretty good. I was wondering though if any one had any bad experiences with this product.(or am I being a pessimist)
Regards Martyn

Here's a link to a page about ACF 50, with alot of details about its use.
http://www.corrosion-control.com/acf50.html (http://www.corrosion-control.com/acf50.html)

It does seem to be about the best stuff.
I haven't used it, but I'm very interested in trying it.

This looks interesting - but doesn't it leave surfaces in a slightly 'tacky' state?

I have found that new and improved is usually the former. I can also tell you that NOTHING protects your equipment from road salt.

To be fair I have never tried this stuff
