It’s a complicated game isn’t it? How far over square can you go before you kill the allure of the design?
It’s an engineering maxim that a square 500 cc four stroke motor conventionally aspirated is the ultimate power per cc engine form. Too far either way from this has a whole series of pros and cons. On the one end you have rev stresses and the other you have crank stresses. I put a lot of money/ work into a Yam SR500 with unbelievable results. Beat the crap out of most bikes I contested. A serious performer. An un-counterbalanced engine that revved hard to 8 1/2- 9000 revs. Power everywhere. I stuck it into a truck otherwise I’d still be riding it. No lie, I used to knock off RGV 250 suzies. It was great to see the disbelief on their faces.😂

The cyl head is on its way along with the cyl jugs.

Could you please post a photo of the combustion chamber and another of one of the intake ports ?

The quench area and port design is of much interest to me.

Is whatever it is available other than FaceBook?

Sorry I can't  find it anywhere other then FB. It's  Will from Revelry Cycles in Sydney  Showing off his custom Interceptor 865 with 40mm throttle bodies,  custom head, S&S cam,  ect ect ect.  he explains it as a fire breathing wheelie popping tire smoking monster.

I would be interested to see the flow bench chart, along with the head pics.

Don't know if you are aware, but I am well known on this website for about 10 years, and I have done a lot of performance work primarily on the Enfield singles for street and track. I have enjoyed the singles, but really am mostly out of it now, and don't have an eye on the twins.
However, I am interested to see what people are doing with it.

Regarding custom heads, here is what we make for the 535 EFI single. All billet with my entirely new performance design, and keeping as similar of an external look to the OEM as reasonably possible.

Our kit doubles the factory stock horsepower of the 535 Continental GT single.
:)

Cheers!

I watched Will’s Scram being tuned on the dyno. Impressive. Huge gains over my 50hp. Looking forward to taking mine to 865.

Today I received the new head
It’s a stock replacement head.  I’ll be porting it along with some trick welding in the chamber I think to raise the compression a touch

I’ll post some pics tonight
