Those Kawasaki A7s must have put the frighteners on a a few British bike company executives in the late sixties.

I am by no means a two-stroke enthusiast but these simple, lightweight bikes boasted 650ish performance levels. Everybody talks about the CB750s and Z1s sweeping aside the British motorcycle industry but that earlier generation of super two-strokes loosened the ground first.
They are pretty collectable now - and way harder to find parts for than a Bullet!

the 500 and 750 2 strokes were the Busa's of their day... :o

Great engine design that allows for individual port timing/tuning that can't be gotten with piston port 2 strokes...Parts?-definitely a challenge nowadays, but was never easy. Performance parts practically nonexistent even back in the day.....
A chum built a vintage class 1/8 mile drag bike a couple of years back,using the A7 engine to be different(instead of the popular & successful RD350)

That is a snappy looking sprinter.
A lot of talk goes on about the two stroke triples but the 350 twins were a previous generation that I knew nothing of.
It was clearly a potent little motor, just from looking at the standard machine's performance figures.
