Hoping someone can help....rode the Continental and all seemed generally OK except for it stalling a couple of times at low revs at junctions. When I came to start her a few days later turned over as normal, but just wouldn't catch. Pulled out the plug and tested, very strong spark. Fuel pump working as normal, all fuses intact, battery new....but just won't fore up? Almost just seems to flood before catching.....I'm stumped
Any advice appreciated

Usually such symptoms indicate a bad relay. The stock relays are sub-standard and it helps to replace them with aftermarket ones from Bosch or Hitchcocks.

However, if the spark is strong, I'm inclined to think the likely culprit to be a fouled injector or a dirty fuel strainer (inside the fuel pump module).

Hi
Thank you for this...all relays are new so I'll have the injectors and fuel strainer checked as well

Cheers
