That's some stable! (and a diplomatic answer  ;D).

After two and a half years with the Interceptor,  I'm still very much RE-loyal. But I have to admit my head has been turned more than once  by the gorgeous Guzzi and more recently by the 865. And by the Z900rs,  though I think at my age that might not be wise.

I quite like the guzzis but haven’t ridden one.  I didn’t realise that the 850 is a lot heavier and physically bigger than the 750

It's not, the current V7 750 and 850 are the same size and almost the same weight. If you see them parked together they are nearly the same bike.

Online specs suggest 21kg heavier is that not the case?

One has to be careful looking at online info, make sure you are comparing like for like. There are manufactors claimed wet or dry weights and actual weights, all of these can vary.
The 750 and 850 are near enough the weight.

I agree, you have to be careful with online weight comparisons.

I do believe there's probably a bit of a weight gain from the 750 to the 850 as the rear drive/swignarm is much beefier, it's from the V85TT as is the larger alternator, and there might be a few changes in the frame and the rear shocks are larger/longer (but still useless). But aside from that, I don't see why there'd be much else for weight gain. The larger pistons would be almost negligible.

I checked again. Moto guzzis own claimed dry weights are about 20kg heavier.  I guess the bigger engine, shaft system, headstock changes, shock, seat etc all add up. I only mentioned it because it surprised me too.

Running a couple of errands yesterday. Colder than expected when at speed but refreshing too. Hassle taking off and putting back on gear but the ride is great. Next ride will, once again, try out my used GoPro 4 Black with. I have found the instructions a bit cloudy and so have had it set to a photo every 5 seconds. Will see next time. Got lab work done, got copies of birth certificates made and got a gallon of milk. Got out of the house for three hours.

A fifteen minute office store visit for copies took 30 minutes on account of a nice visit with a fella originally from Mexico about motorcycles and he expressed intention to visit RE dealer here. Adopting my two adult step-children and attorney wants copies of birth certificates to make sure we ain't trying to hide scofflaws.

Visit for lab took an hour or more waiting my turn for a blood draw to check PSA  and testosterone levels.

Grocery store took about ten minutes to grab a jug o' moo juice for my wife. Fits perfect in my Gavi hard bag. I'm off dairy (mostly), caffeinated coffee (totally) and sadly, beer and Wild Turkey distilled spirits (totally). Each of 'em are bladder irritants and mine don't always behave post prostatectomy.

Guys, if you are of age, get that prostate checked every year, PSA every year. My prognosis ain't a death sentence but more like a hassle from here on out that could'a been avoided. Voided LOL.

Love love love my moto.

GREAT Advice re prostate- when I was a medical photographer I photographed the TOO MANY Guys who died way too young through Fear, Ignorance, or in most cases just not getting around to it. Checked every year, couple of times had to have biopsy but all good so FEEL FOR YOU 🤔 but guy's it ain't 1/2 of what our partners go through every year, or worse potentially have to deal with if we don't  - o.k apologies for the lecture, but a lecturer is what I became- in Photography 👍

I've had some good winter rides so far this year, no real snow yet.
Here's a couple on the Interceptor complete with winter top box and screen, and one in filthy weather on the Bullets with my wife and the singer from our band on her Mutt Fat Sabbath.

Back on Mt Baldy again, but now that the first service is done I don’t have to baby it anymore. Much more enjoyable being able to rev it out with my new exhaust.
