Title: Help with identifying Vintage 1955 Indian Enfield
Post by: montoya66 on May 02, 2011, 07:03:08 pm
Hello I bought an Indian Enfield which had been converted to a dirt bike and was missing all of its original body parts. I have been informed that it is a '55 500CC twin engine in a 1956 frame, and was probably an Indian Tomahawk. The engine number is 5T4775 and the frame number is 11173. Can anyone positively date this bike?  I have also attached a picture as it was received, I have since removed the Yamaha front end and dispatched it to junkyard hell. Thanks,

Hi montoya66,

Welcome aboard and congrats on your bike.

REOC has the records from the Redditch works and can provide the machines production date for a nominal fee.
