I recently changed the front sprocket on my 03 bullet. After reasembly the bike would not go into first gear. Prior to this it was also a little difficult, however now it won't go in at all. I am hoping this is not a major fix. Anyone ever have this problem before?

Can't say I've heard of that happening because of the sprocket change. However, Since the side cover was off, remove it again and check the tang/fork assy where the shift shaft comes through the cases from the shifter arm. It sounds like that is probably a bit off there and hitting the case wall between it and the sprocket.

Does your 2003 have a four or five speed gearbox? Is the shifter on the left or right side?

My first thought is clutch drag. Does it shift with the engine off and rocking the bike? If so the clutch needs adjustment. Just a shot in the dark....
