Title: New Enfield Article
Post by: Bankerdanny on April 08, 2008, 08:27:21 pm
The current issue of the Brit mag Classic Bike Guide (#203) has multi-page test of a diesel Enfield conversion.

The tester got 167 mpg (Imperial), which I think is 200mpg US!

For good measure they also have a commentary from Mike Raahauge, Technical Director of Watsonian-Squire the British RE importer.

1 imperial galln = 1.2 US gallons
167/1.2= 139 US MPG, still not bad!

damn. I did the coversion wrong, I had google convert 167 imperial gallons to us gallons rather than 1:1 and then make the adjustment.
