Title: rubber mount rox risers on classic
Post by: beagle on March 15, 2019, 06:34:17 am
Has anybody tried the isolation mount rox risers to eliminate the vibes. Thought I'd ask the question before I blow a couple of hundred bucks.

I am not even sure they would fit on a Bullet with the way the handlebar clamps to the nacelle.

Beagle - Soon I will be receiving bar ends that will dissipate vibrations at the bars.
You can do a search for 'shot balls'. Here's some links.

Beagle - If you want the old style bar end weights, HVMP is the biggest. I used these on my GT for awhile. The little one in the middle is the stock RE bar end. The reason why the HVMPs look huge, it's because they are. Gimme a honk if you want mine on a used deal, or go for the website:

The heavy bar ends counteract some of the vibes at a certain cycle. The 'shot ball' design works constantly.

The old school way of reducing the vibrations was to fill the handle bars with lead shot.  Just remove one bar end weight and fill the bars with a funnel.

I heard it sometimes helps to loosen, then re-torque engine mounts too.   ;)

When you loosen, then re-torque engine mounts the bike needs to be sitting on both wheels with the engine running.

Thanks for the comments fellas.....I'm finding that more padded gloves are helping a lot. I put the leather wraps on, did help a bit and looks good, might try some pussy grips next...or buy a 650 and experience the smooth as a suppository feeling they're renowned to offer.
