Having enquired with Hitchcock's on August 16th about the possibility of them fashioning a replacement shift linkage for the Meteor, in order to make it into a full toe shifter instead, this morning their very prompt reply came and it is good news! Here's the reply:

  "We have only had the Meteor here for a short period and presently we are working on modifications for it, the toe lever conversion is fairly high on the list and we will be offering it soon. I must admit as a Meteor owner I had my reservations over the heel / toe but very quickly got used to it and now find it great, not all folks like it.

Thanks for sharing the good news Dexter! Hitchcock's seem to run their business the way ALL shops should be run. It will be interesting to see what kind of goodies they come up with for the Meteor.
