Installed a side bag instead of the cover

Ooooooh very nice! By the way, would appreciate when you get some time:
- a couple of pics of that seat to check proportions in relation to the bike
- what do you thing of it....good, meh...crap?

Have seen it before but nothing beats real world feedback. Thanks in advance.. ;-)

Nice.  Racetech is a good outfit.  I see they come in piggyback style too with compression adjustment.  I might have gone for those instead of the YSS if I had known they existed.

Would you happen to know what rate springs they put on those?  I'm curious because I recently ordered custom linear springs for my YSS ($$$) and had to guesstimate the rate.

Hey Yellow Duck...does this help... ;-)

Spring Main:1.8
Preload: 15mm

Just curious, but why would you use the killswitch to turn the bike off and not the key?

As you have guessed I use the key  ;) and have never noticed any sound after turning off except the tick-tick of the exhausts cooling down.

I wish it was available in black.  Is it a brushed or shiny finish?

Some gearbox problems occurred on some motorbikes produced until 2012, subsequently some modifications were made (anti skip mechanism) which should have resolved them.
My 2010 Bullet, even though it has exceeded 30,000 km, occasionally continues to go into neutral while driving

The post from "gashousegorilla" is spot on and (was)an issue with my '18 Classic 500.  Check that shifter for left/right slop.  It needs to be solidly to the left as far as it will go to engage the shift fork solidly inside the right side case.  A wavy washer inside the right side case wherein the shift rod sits will keep leftward tension on it or a simpler way is to remove the shift lever, install spacers (washers) then reinstall the shift lever.  My bike shifts beautifully with this fix.

All normal sounds. I think the buzz is the fuel pump discharging, and the pop is likely to be the EVAP system..

Right…several evap hoses terminate in the area I hear the pop, so that does make sense to me. Thanks for responding.

I was able to reproduce it several times in a row in the 10 mins I was trying to figure out where the noise was coming from.  Bike was pretty hot from a solid hour of riding so thinking it might only be happening after longer rides which is why I’ve perhaps only noticed it recently.  Had a few longer than normal rides this last week.

Is it more likely to happen with a warmer motor, in your opinion?

She's a dead set beauty, mate! Those are some awesome water channel grooves on that seat. Sorry about the dealer hassels, never fun.
that's an aftermarket seat cover, i'll look at the label in the a.m. owner (of both bike AND dealership) neglected to transfer the title into his name, or to assign it to the dealership, so no longer a private sale. i had to jump thru extra hoops at the last minute, which took all day, and an extra round trip. came VERY close to bailing out of the deal. probably should have ridden a another couple of miles down the road to see what the real yamaha dealer had.
