Title: oil filler temp gauge

Anyone had any joy fitting the oil temp gauge dipstick item.
my bike is 1997 Indian domestic model. on the road in daily use.

Yes, people have done it.

Here in the US, mostly what we see after doing it is that we don't need to know what the oil temp is because it's never getting too hot. Maybe it might be good to know if it is ever getting up to normal temps in cold weather.

In India, it might be more needed than in the US.

I ran one for several years in central Illinois. I found that the oil
temp. would run 2X the outside air temp. If it was 90 degrees F
the oil would run 180...   this was so consistant that I could tell
what the outside temp was by halfing  the oil temp.
easy to build- drill out the rivet, drill a hole in cap and
inside liner. use JB weld to glue down and seal, then file
a ring on probe for full oil mark...
