Title: 500 carb on a 350
Post by: iceneweb on January 02, 2008, 02:49:22 am
Hi all,

I am getting a Mikcarb 28 carb to replace the wornout stock carb on my 350 and was wondering whether anyone else has done this and what jetting worked for you?

Cheers,
Mark

A guy I know did that. I don't know how he ended up jetting it but he had to weld up the stud holes in the head and drill and tap because the flange for the 500 carb is about a half inch wider than the flange on the 350 carb. If I remember right the 350 has the flange right on the carb and bolts directly to the head. The 500 has a flange that bolts to the head with a rubber spigot in between the carb and the flange.
A lot of work but he liked the results.
