Today we have more hydrogen highway news. This time it compares H2 busses with all electric busses. It would appear that the Santa Cruz bus transit plan is to go all in on H2 and just hope it works out.

If they want it to succeed and keep it out of the cold damp hands of PG&E they might. It's all off the shelf tech at this stage, although the inevitable carpetbaggers will try to drive up the profit margins and build a Space Shuttle ($$$$) instead. The real job is to keep them & the special interests out.

IxIxR = watts, so I guess the conversion losses are minimal. The tricky bit is to fine someone that needs unlimited hot air and a hella big insulated shed. I'm thinking the Capitol Building might qualify here... ;D
