I haven't myself, but they are very cool and retro and popular on the classic/vintage H-Ds. And now that I know Summit has them for $24.95 I want one! They do actually have a neat effect at at night.

I ordered $29.92 with shipping. Lets see it should fit. I had the nfieldgear adjure 7" tribar halogen previously.
Thanks

Kinda neat with a turn signal lens built into the bottom of it.
That could be used for the "gray" wire in the UCE casquette that powers the headlight "parking light" that some 7 inch headlights have.
-
:) yeah does sound kinda neat with the turn signal built in it...let us know how that works out for you Singh...and some pics would be great as well.

I probably wasted upward of a grand on aftermarket lighting over the years in search of better lighting.
The Bosch 0 301 600 118 head lamp is awfully hard to beat.
My advice is to Google around the web for information other than ad copy before placing an order for any light.
-
BUT, how does the pitifully weak dynamo in the RE handle a halogen light.?
-
Somehow they do. I have a Halogen Tri bar in REnfield, 5 years and going strong. Got to have a good (preferably AGM) battery and no worries.
-
My Halogen lights were never a problem, except that they were always dim. HTe problem ws int he wiring somewhere and I finally got tired of looking for the problem and wired the headlight directly through relays. The problem was solved, Bright lights, no other problems. I used the Tribar with halogen lamps, and sealed beam lights with no problems.

I have a similar light but with a pilot bulb instead of the bottom directional, which I think is done for Left & Right on a CAR. I'm guessing it may not put as much light DOWN on the road as my fully diamond cut scatter pattern reflector (which may not be road legal in all states), which uses a correct watt Xenon bulb & LED blue Pilots, for the Enfield. +1 Awesome Pic!

+2 and so were the bikes. :)

Any movement on this front? Singhchicago maybe?

Not meaning to offend anyone. However I would not buy THAT headlight. I would get one with the full reflector & pilot bulb. It WILL throw more light downwards on the road, whereas the directional unit cuts off the lower part of the beam, making the pavement less visible - You could hit a turtle! The full reflector tripods are available on Ebay all the time. I believe they work, & look better.
-
Cheers Craig. Still be interested if Singh Chicago made it work.

The best headlight I ever put on a bike is the Harley dual bulb unit. Low beam is broad and has excellent distance. The high beam is a separate 35 watt bulb in a spotlight inset inside the headlight. The low beam stays on when the high beam is on. Total draw is 90 watts in high beam mode. A dedicated relay fed directly from the battery is the way to rig it. The question is can the system support the 90 watt draw.
-
I believe it can at high speed or short distances at lower speeds (when needed). I'm running two 55 watt H3 spot lights in conjunction with the 55 watt headlight - that's 165 watts in total.
-
Here are the results, it has enough light.... enjoy

Thanks Singh, thats what i was looking for. I think a blue pilot lamp would look cool as opposed to the yellow hue.
