I live in mainland europe and i can't seem to find the stock size 100/90 18 and 130/70 18 knobby tires. Local laws make it a bit hard to legally change your tire sizes. Anyone knows where i might be able to find some?

The Moto Guzzu V7 Rough comes with Pirelli MT60 dual purpose tyres on the front that should fit. The MT60 they use on the rear are 80 profile so a smidgeon higher but to all intents and purposes the same size.

Unfortunately they really have to be 130/70 18, or i might get a 125 euro fine per tire of the "wrong" size...

I am not an expert on offroad tyres but it seems unlikely they would make an off road tyre in such a low profile.

Could you get something official from Royal Enfield stating that 130/80 is a suitable alternative?

I might, but it still requires getting a new title with the local dmv. Like i said, it's not impossible, it just requires a lot of patience and some money. I did that with my B5 and it took 3 months to get things approved, that's why i'm not very keen on doing it again with the interceptor...

Was going through the indian forums, and it seems a company named "timsun" in India makes knobby tires for the interceptor in stock size, but they might be dificult to find over here.

Assuming you get 130/80 approved they will add 13mm or so to your ride height.

If the rumoured 650 based Himalayan turns up in a year or two it may actually come with 130/80 R18 tyres, however, aside from its current semi-mythical status,  that probably will not help the legal situation with the existing Interceptor as it most likely will be regarded as a different bike.

Importing from India is relatively straight forward. The more important issue will be whether those tires are EU approved for street use.

One of the dealers who is close to the Corporate headquarters in Milwaukee
said it will be a 500CC Himalayan that comes next. Maybe even in 2020...
Comes from a good source.. We will see...I'd be all over that!

I have a 4.00 18 trials type tire on the rear. It doesn't list the aspect ratio and it is in inches. Would that be enough to fool them? The problem with a taller tire isn't just the aspect ratio but the clearance at the front of the swingarm. I ran mine on the center stand in 6th gear and 5000 rpm. The tire definitely stretches. It is close! when this tire is worn I'm putting the stock one back on. The Pirelli Scorpion Trail tire I put on the front is a joke. It is a street tire with slightly deeper tread.
