Title: Saturday in the South
Post by: Gypsyjon on February 10, 2013, 12:13:21 am
My Bullet has not been fired up for 3 weeks now. Yankees have been sending us their cold weather. Nonetheless, she took off after a bit and we went for a nice 4 hour ride. Great way to spend the day.

Now I have the Egg warming up to create a fab dining experience.

Sorry Yankees...

God willing, I'll go out riding tomorrow afternoon. The temps will be around freezing, and the city (nyc) will have plowed and salted everything. If the alley my garage is on isn't iced over, I should be good to go!

Thanks to this storm, I was unable to pick up my bike from Long Island. And of course, it was times just right to make it impossible, with it snowing on a Friday, and Saturday not being dug out. Then we have Sunday, and we are back into the work week.

I am bout to make a trip to Japan, and so it might have to remain there in storage until I get back.

Seems like Old Man Winter always shows up when I need to do something with a bike ona  timeline.

Spray it with ACF-50. It'll take care of those crooks and nannies.

I've gone two days without riding, and I hope I won't have to go three. Today we hit 36 degrees in NYC and the roadbeds are all almost fully cleared of snow. Tomorrow we'll hit 46 and the rest of the slush will wash away -- it's going to be a rainy day, but if it looks to be intermittent I'm going to ride to JFK in the afternoon for my flight. Keep your fingers crossed!

If it gets up to the high 30s ( +5*C)  and no rain I will fire her up.

You fellows are using fuel preservative , right?
