just wanted you all to know that of all the bikes i've owned over 40 years of riding, the bullet is my favorite. yamaha r5 close second.
-
I had an R5 many years ago. I don't think I would rate it anywhere near the Enfield, though. In fact, it would barely make a blip on my favorite bikes' list.

I can understand the attraction to the fast revving 2-strokes like the R5. The RD350 was one of the most popular bikes of its era.
The Bullet is almost the complete other end of the spectrum from that, and has an appeal that is also awesome, but different.
Many people name the Bullet as the most fun motorcycle that they have ever ridden. It has something special.
-
i should clarify the r5's main appeal. wheelies without trying, outrunning your buddies in the twisties, and paying a whole lot less for an obnoxious little rocket.

I started out on BSA Victor in 1966..rode Harley's until 2 years ago...sold my ride to a kid from up by Cincy...could not stand being without a bike...I have gone full circle, back to a stump puller.

I know thisnisna biased list, but I too will cast my vote for the Bullet as having the most "fun factor".
I've had a Honda 100, 250 enduro, Nighthawk 250, a Triumph Bonneville, a Scrambler, an 883 Sportster and a 1600cc Harley Street Bob... all were fun and fine bikes in their own, but don't compare to the Bullet.
Went out yesterday to combat the winter doldrums and came back with a huge grin on my face. Didnt matter how cold it was. Motorcycle therapy, works better than Prozac to cure what ails ya. ;)

yep, learned to ride on a 68 cb350 with no rear brakes, then on to a 63 bonneville(pronounced bon-evil!). then a succession of more cb350's,360's,450's,500t's.many yamahas, beezers, all had their appeal. the mostest fastest? 75 gold wing.also the most boring.
