Lane: The gas station picture is great!

Met the guy who owned it and he showed me tons of cool stuff, old gas pump lights, 37 chevy, old electric wash tub washer, ... even pictures on the wall of previous owners.  If you are ever in Whalan Minnesota, near Eagle Cliff campground, definately worth a look.

Whalan is so small that if you just ride around town a bit, you will find it.  He told me they have a parade every year, but that it's a "non moving" parade because they would quickly run out of town before they would parade!  So everybody just walks around the "parade" instead!

So what are you riding now?

Love the bullet but i'm kinda big for it. It only out weighs me by 100 lbs, and that's if i don't have anything with me and not much ...ahem... on (and nobody wants to see that!).  Add riding gear and camping stuff, could get to 50lbs or less real quick!

FWIW stock 2015 B5 with 900 trouble free miles.  Koso tach/speedo, K70's (speedo unit calbrated for tire size) the following was noted on this morning's 30 mile jaunt.
Top Gear - 2300 rpm = 35 mph
                3000 rpm = 45 mph
                3800 rpm = 55 mph
Keeping the rpm between 3000 to 4000 keeps the ride smooth and in the meat of the torque curve.  A side note is that aircraft engines (a similar design) usually cruise at 75% of rated take off rpm.  Using that yardstick, that puts the B5 at 3937 rpm for cruising, which seems to match what the bike and my seat feels is right.

Installed pillion seat, chain tension adjustment and lube. Went for a 65 miles ride with my wife. Later in home I discovered a forgotten wrench, hanging from a locking nut. Handle pointed downward and amazingly there where no scratches in the wrench...

Not the best pics when zooming in on my phone. Someone taking a nice interest in Flash though on a trip out to the Peak District today.

You'd have to stop every 5 seconds to get some breathtaking view type pictures but I would probably not do it justice. Some very steep gradients up and down. Next time I'll try a video.

Had a guy on a 125 two smoker try to get ahead of me from one light to the next.   "Braaap, BRaaap, BRAAap, BRAAAP"... meanwhile over on the Rumbler, just a steady thumpathumpathumpathumpathumpathumpa.  Hilarious, didn't even have to twist it wide open.

Last week I took advantage of the CMW 25% off sale.  I'd had my eye on the new set with rack and panniers that they've offered for a while now but the price was a little hard to justify for the Enfield -- I really don't have a need for luggage on it.  A few longer rides with a back pack for my stuff convinced me it might be worth it.  The sale took enough off the price to buy.  I installed them today.

The rack and pannier mounts are really nice, well made, and install easily.  I'd prefer that the tail rack be about an inch and half shorter, but I can live with it as is.

I've got a set of black canvas throwover saddlebags and tail pack that can be installed when I need a place to put stuff.
There's a certain charm in rudeness.
