My dealer was 50 miles away, but he as a great guy and treated his customers well. he also had Enfield knowledge as he as an old Brit bike guy. Even though there were other dealers around here closer, I stuck with him because I liked the shop. I didn't mind the 100 mile round trip because it always gave me an excuse to get a good ride in!
I could ride the interstate all the way if I wanted to, but I got to know the surrounding neighborhoods very well as I used a different route quite often.
The Enfield and I enjoyed the tour!
I do my own maintenance and he didn't mind letting me have any warranty parts that I needed and do the work myself.

Went to my dealer today to get my 3K service.
National Powersports in Pembroke New Hampshire does an awesome job! They went over my bike from stem to stern and checked everything over.
Everyone here writes so much about vibration in their bikes. I had some but I didn't think it was all that bad. I did have a funky rattle. They discovered that one of the front engine mount bolts was broken in the middle. When they test drove the bike they felt the vibration was excessive. They replaced the bolt. It feels like a totally different bike.
I guess it must have come out of the crate with the broken bolt as it has felt the same in all the miles that I have put on it. It rides smooth as glass now.
It sounds better as I am revving up through the gears, feels better too. A night and day difference... speaking of night and day... the got my headlight aimed correctly and put a brighter bulb in too.
Great folks to do business with. They are a 150 miles from my house; but their quality of service makes it worth the trip.

I forgot to mention this. On my way home from work on Friday, I gave a nod of recognition to another biker heading in the opposite direction. Not even a minute later, I hear a large Harley coming up behind me. That same biker pulls up next to me and gives me a thumbs up. That is the first time I've had someone actually turn their bike around to come look at mine.

Met up with our little RE ride group this morning.  I couldn't go with them up to Mt. Lemmon, but still met up for coffee and saw them to the edge of town  8)

Got my bike over 3k today by putting a few hundred miles on her. She is running like a champ. I hated to have to stop riding for the day.

Had a few mates come over and help me fix up my primary case stud so it'll seal again, hopefully holds, seems good now. Also installed new non-bent footpeg! :)
Also my headlamp peak arrived, so I'll wait for my other package which has my new bracket for headlamp, knee pads and a few other bits 'till I put it in, the peak just tucks into the rim correct?

I took her home.

All fixed up! Got a weird, big tail light for the time being, but everything's in its right place. Starts strong, still draws attention, and still runs like a champ.

My poor tailbone isn't ready for the saddle yet though, ouch. Getting T boned this week sure didn't help that either. I swear, I must have pissed off the universe something fierce...

Rode to work, then took a jaunt on my break to pick up a craigslist win: the upswept sport exhaust! Another RE pilot was going to sell his bike, has three (!) aftermarket exhausts with it, and kindly agreed to sell me the upswept for a song. Threw in a headlight visor too!  What fine folk RE people are! Stoked to get it fitted up!
