Thank you both for that infomation. I've thought about being caught out with a crook battery, I feel better now.

Cheers  ;)

If you have your light switch activated so you can turn your lights off that helps, too

I pretty finished up with repairing all the crash damage and did a bit of modified in the process. Not quite a cafe racer but looks a bit sportier anyway. Headlight, taillight, front and rear fenders, turn signals and muffler should cover the major stuff
Can't forget the handlebars and tires, either

Considering what the bike has been thru it looks good.

I especially like the front fender, the shirt looks just like the one in my closet.

Have a good day young man.

Bare:

Everything looks good with your G5, very tastefully done !

What is with the breather tube - it seems to be going under the seat instead of air filter ?  Is it something from the factory or you did this modification ?

I removed all the smog hoses and the can, and just ran the tube from the breather out to the back of the bike. It ends up just ahead of the rear clip for the netting under the seat. It works quite well and stays very dry back there. I haven't had any oil blowby at all. I didn't like it blowing into the air cleaner. If the bike drops on its right side with the engine running it makes a mess in the airbox. I guess I'd rather have it on the fender!

Used it as a trade in on a 2012 Bonneville. You guys, especially Kevin Mahoney, are an amazing bunch. I wish you all well.

Farewell and best of success with the Bonnie!  I've thought of doing likewise with a new Harley Superlow but for now the C5 is still a blast to ride.

I take it the new air filter cured the high speed gag you were having.

Dan,
We will miss you.
I went the other way, traded the Bonnie Scrambler for the RE. I'm much happier going that way.
