Do you still have the OEM Bosch plug in there?

I've had the NGK in there since about 800 miles. It runs well, but it didn't really do much to tame the idle. I'm still working on finding that sweet spot, "The Fountain of Idyll" Or, as the mechanic sez, "Good Luck on that! That's just the way some of them are." Maybe I'm a bit more tenacious, but I haven't found any real improvement yet. And I've had some 3100 miles worth of fiddling. ???

Apparently I've been riding so long I've forgotten how to drive.  The car felt really funny to drive, and this is the only car I've owned for 15 years and 200k miles.

I have a '96 Mazda (Ford) pickup that I bought new. 28,000 on it. Pretty much have forgotten how to drive it. Trying to split lanes is a pain! ;)

Every now and then I get the urge to split lanes in my car! I could fit through there.

I did catch myself leaning over in a turn in my minivan the other day.

I finally got the HID bulb into the Minda 7" headlight. Looks really cool but I think it will blind oncoming drivers! Is that a bad thing? It lights up the house in daylight! I'll try it tonight but I think it is going to be too much. I went for the yellow end of the scale. I can't stand those blue/white ones plus it wouldn't look antique enough.

A British bike with any functioning headlight is obviously not an antique! ;)

I'm betting a few squirts of Genuine Lucas Electrical Smoke will dim that overly bright headlight.  :D

Heh, I've waved at a few motorcyclists from my car before.   :)

Most definitely.

When the crotch rocket and HD guys in my area with those mods blind me I pull over quickly before loosing sight of the white line.

Can the mod be tweaked, tuned or adjusted to give a more usable projection  ?

Sounds like one of the complaints by some folks over on Team-BPH who feel their headlights are totally useless except to light up tree branches as they pass under them.

I may be wrong but it seems like the top screw slot could be elongated or even cut thru towards the rear of the bike.  This could allow the headlight rim (and bulb) to be aimed downward.
Yes, the rim wouldn't butt up against the bead on the nacelle like it should but at least the oncoming traffic wouldn't be blinded and veer over into  your lane and hit you head on.

A couple of small wedges of rubber or plastic between the headlight and outer chrome rim do the same thing with much less aesthetic ickiness.

Cleaned/lubed chain on my 07 iron barrel. While doing that i noitced my rear brake switch all messed up. The bolts vibed out in the toolbox housing and threw the whole switch assembly out of whack. I fixed that and all is well now ;D

it is not just the angle. It is more like high and low are on at the same time. I will try to reposition the lamp inside the housing tomorrow. If I cover the bottom half of the lens with my hand the high beam goes away leaving a nice low beam. Cover the top and the treetops are lit.

Sounds like you need gen-u-ine WWII blackout headlamp covers ...
