That said - not that hard to do BUT - as I said the breadknife cuts the dense foam pretty easily -it doesnt leave it all that smooth - SO if you want it tight and smooth then you will have to use - don't know - hot knife maybe - or another layer underneath the vinyl.

To finish your seat foam chop job, Just get a sanding board with some fairly coarse sandpaper attached and it will smooth out that stuff quite nicely. Then you can retighten the upholstery and have a nice, smooth job.

I don't know exactly where it was but I recall seeing the "Royal Enfield"  logo's that are cast into the sides of the engine case filled with red paint so....right or wrong, I used some insignia red Testers PLA model enamel and a toothpick and filled in the recessed letters on both sides of my G5's engine case.

I think it adds just a touch of customization that looks pretty good.   :)

Rode to work and back; about 150 miles round trip.  Supposed to start raining again here in WA over the next 7-10 days so want to get in as much ride time while the weather holds out.  ;)

Picked up my C5 after its 2 hours in the dyno room.  I'll start a new thread about that adventure.  Took a short ride and enjoyed the fleeting hours of Seattle sun (as Robbw pointed out) before having to head home for my real life.

Summer please come soon!

Oh, I met the lady who bought the G5 from the Seattle shop a couple of weeks ago.  She was ordering accessories (saddlebags I think).

When I mentioned that RE folk are meeting at the Nickerson St Saloon this weekend she smiled, saying that she lives very close to it.  Younger RE owners might like to meet this nice young lady.  Sadly she said she won't be in town Saturday.

Heh, when I told my wife that the new owner lives near the Nick, the conversation quickly turned to "How do you know where she lives?"   :D

Oh how I love how these things turn!   ;)

"How do you know where she lives?"   :D

And the correct reply would have been, "Because that's where I left my wallet..."

I put 150 miles on this morning between rain clouds.
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

I have come to fear the rain - and especially the fog.

Wow.

Not one hour after posting that above - I lowsided in the rain.   >:(

Usual damage.  Footpeg, bar end, bit of rash on the muffler and airbox this time.  Broke the front brake lever right off.

Bad juju.
