Today I fitted a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 screen to my Himalayan. That screen is a really good option.
The brackets for the Interceptor are rather different to what is required for the Himalayan (different bikes, who'd have thunk it duh!) but Himalayan Tools offer brackets that will mount the 650 screen to your Himalayan.
This video shows one man's misadventures as he fits the 650 screen to his Himmy - actually, you'd be distressed to see how much has been edited out but I'm not going to air all my dirty laundry in public.
This video isn't a 'how to' - such a video would be rather shorter. This is just exploring and enjoying my journey and yes, the result was well worth it, both in looks and in effectiveness. This screen is a worthwhile modification to your Himalayan.
How? Rather than the turbulence from the standard screen, all you get is the hiss of the wind past your helmet. It is true that as you go faster you get more of a hiss, but it is still just the hiss of smooth air. Well worth the effort.

Well I’ll be the mug:
Why did you replace the Eagle short screen?

Is it simply for aesthetics?
RE branded “authenticity“?
Is the new one better turbulence wise?
Or simply just that you could?  ;D

Why did you replace the Eagle short screen?

I fell down a very steep hill and broke it

I'm fine. The bike's cost me bit though. The track was so steep you could barely walk up it and the powdered dust covering it was as slippery as a diesel spill - going back up, the outfit just slid sideways at one point.

The lesson is: Never listen to Matt when he says: Let's go camping, I know this great spot up along the river.
