Not personally, but here is how to clear the light, as posted to this forum by GROMMIT141 in December:

"Anyone having problems with Engine/MIL light on this is how to fix it, seen on You Tube, I tried it and it worked saved another trip to dealer"

If your bike is not running well though, best get it to the dealer for inspection. Here's that thread, if you wish to read it all:

The bike is under warranty. Time to take it to the dealer then.

Hopefully you had the problem resolved by now...
Had the same problem and this fix did not work... finally took it to the dealer who connected it to the diagnostic tool and tweaked the upper limit of the heat setting which for some reason has been set quite low (according to tech) for european models ... he changed it on my bike to a higher limit and since then no EMC/MIL problem...

Interesting. Here in Germany lots of owners are complaining on this MIL issue. Do you know, which specific heat setting has been tweaked?

Hi Folks,

I have posted re: my Meteor's MIL light being lit up all the time.
I did get it reset when it had it's 300 mile service but came on shortly thereafter.
I think the low temperatures didn't help.

I've had my Classic 350 3 weeks now & the light has not come on so maybe the Classic 350 has a had a factory adjustment; we live in hope!

Cheers
RL

@andif62 I think it was the coolant temperature... he had attached the diagnostic tool and raised the coolant temperature limit to 114C ... and he told me it had been suggested by the enfield trainers to them in Belgium...
Germany and Luxembourg have almost similar driving conditions... so the same setting should work... in the photo attached you can see the reading as 98C... he had let the bike run on nuetral for almost 1/2 hour till the temperature reached the required setting... definitely not recommended to rev the engine as the coolant circulates and lowers the temp again... so takes more time to reach the required limit...

Coolant temperature…this means oil temperature on the Meteor?

HUH???

There is no "coolant" in the Meteor's air/oil cooled engine and there isn't even an oil cooler, so this makes no sense at all. The oil  normally runs a lot hotter than 114 C. too. There is no way to regulate the temperature of the engine oil as it is controlled by the amount of air flow over the engine's cooling fins and thusly also by the ambient temperature of the air.

Whatever that picture is showing, which is not readable, it certainly has nothing to do with a "coolant" setting.

That's one hell of a line you have been fed there!  :(

OK, having found out that I could enlarge that photo to make it readable, I see what the gauge is saying and I must admit I made an error in considering the oil temperature reading, as i am old school and was thinking along Fahrenheit lines, where a normal oil temperature is anywhere from 230 to 260 degrees, which does put 114 C. close to the 230 F. mark.

I also see that gauge is showing the ignition timing setting and that would play a role in the temperature that the engine operates at. So this adjustment could marginally effect oil temperature as it relates to ignition timing, which is what the technician would have been playing around with through the ECU settings.

Apologies to the tech for my misunderstanding, but calling oil "coolant", in the sense we normally think of coolant (anti freeze), was what got me flying off in a tangent.

Now, does that solve the engine light problem though, which is what this thread seemed to be focussing on?

If I read it correctly, the pic is showing injection timing not ignition

You are right, injection timing
