Hello, I was planning to change the headlight for a led unit but it seems the diameter is not usual.
The outer rim is 175 mm (inside) and 183 mm (outside) and both remplacement I had are going thru the rim.
Explanation in pictures

I had to add for the test (I don't plan to ride with this kind of diy) a ring make from an electrical cable to compensate for the large diameter.

Hello Andif62, I can't recommend any headlight because none of the regular 7" are fitting.
7" is too small.
That's why I add a kind of spacer definitively not usable on road.

I just swapped the old bulb for an LED one and it was very straightforward and made a huge difference.

OK, now we need to know what make and model # of bulb that the LED was. Thanks!

Cheers!
Yes, thank you for sharing  :) !
I was considering Philips Ultinon Pro9000 LED at the same price but they sell only a bundle of 2 (then 2x the price)

These fit nicely in my Meteor and Interceptor, but we’re about 2 mm too long in the rear to fit in a Himalayan bucket.

What am I missing here? The OEM halogen bulb is 55/60W. This LED is 55W. Where's the power saving?

If there was a power saving what's the advantage of it ?

It's not about power saving, it's about more lumens.

Because this not a 55W led, maximum that is actually achieved for a H4 is 24W for the really bests one.
As you can see the 55W mentioned are for 2 bulb, that mean theoretically 27W per led.
That draw max 2 amps instead of 4,5 amps for halogen.
Also, to start the halogen the battery sees a short for half a second that put the voltage down, it can't help in winter.

This is much brighter than stock. Truly lights up the road at a distance at full beam at night and is a lot more visible during the daytime.

There are likely a lot of similar bulbs and others may be better, but this worked well for me….was going for more light.
