Last week I was testing that bike, and they are aluminum, maybe not the best but they are, even the new Interceptors also have those black aluminum hubs.  pfiati

For starters, they don't look or feel like they were made by Fisher Price.
For those who do not know Fisher price (like me)

Are they? do you gave confirmation of this. The images look like they "could" be but I'd be massivley surprised if they were.

Phil

They are alloy on the Interceptor and the new Super Meteor. They are black though on the Interceptor.

I agree. Combining the kill switch with the start button seems backwards to me.

Why Jess, saves on a switch assembly. One less thing to fail.

To me, starting a bike begins with a press of the right thumb, not the turn of a dial.
 It’s an emotional objection.

I bet a lot of people will feel that way.
Wondering out loud, could the goal be to make it less likely that the operator will roll in some throttle (like for carb bikes) when starting?

I'm glad I don't think that way or I'd still be trying to find a bike with a kick starter.

I guess that another place we differ, I always hated using the kickstarter.
