Always giving it his head, this morning I asked for a budget to change the ignition switches and lights for those of the Super Meteor, in principle you should not have any problems changing them I'll tell you, they are super handsome chrome

This will not be plug & play.
The SM650 controls have a hazard flasher on the right switch. The GT & Interceptor have all the indicator wires running only to left switch.

I replaced my left switch for one that has a hazard flasher, and my right switch for one with Headlights on/off switch.
To accomplish this I had to make an adapter. I used four connector blocks that plugged into the factory connectors.
Basically the switches kept their plugs as did the bike, my adapter had male & female connectors for both sides so it plugs in-line between the switch plug and the bikes harness.
I had to route power to the headlight which runs to the left switch to the right switch and back.
For the SM650 switch you will need to do the same if you want the hazard switch to work.
You will need to run a connection from the right hand hazard switch to the indicator wires on the left switch.
Its not hard, but it helps if you have some experience with wiring and crimping connectors,

The new Interceptor has the new switchgear too. It looks though that this might be the same as that from the Super Meteor.

True, i sat on one at the dutch "motorbeurs" and i must say they felt much more comfortable. Im not really sold about the looks though.
I wonder if the cables are different then.

I'm in same boat currently. I've got plug n play kind of adapter to fit meteror switches in Interceptor, but not installed them yet.
Waiting for confirmation from service center if new interceptor's switchgear is direct fit. Will update you once I get more information.

Uncle Stew says the Super Meteor 650 powers up the daytime running lights with the key switch but the headlights do not get power until the engine is running.
The GT & Interceptor do not have any circuitry to support this feature.
I do not think it is necessary as the stock headlight on the older 650s is not LED and this draws way more current and it is powered at key switch on.

My headlights only come on when the engine is running. They dont come on when I switch the ignition on.

Well then I may be wrong. I thought that my headlight came on with the key. I swapped it out pretty soon after getting the bike with one that allows me to manually control the headlight separately from the DRL. So i could have easily missed that.

This has me curious, the wiring diagram shows the headlight power coming from the ignition switch directly to the high/low beam switch.
There does not seem to be anything in that circuit that would ‘know’ the engine was running.
For most of you out there that have stock switches, does you headlight only come on with the engine running!

It is possible for the wiring diagram to be wrong…

Good morning, according to my information, Euro4 and Euro5 models differ at this point.
With the Euro4, the headlight lights up when the ignition is switched on, with the Euro5 only when the engine is running.
Best regards
