i like the little dingy-bell on the handlebar, i have one on my e-bike. :)
A practical acknowledgement of how quiet E vehicles can be.  Indeed, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards now require vehicle makers to add sound to bring the dB level up to 56 minimum, when their cars are moving at less than 20 mph, in the interest of pedestrian safety. https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2022/07/13/2022-14733/federal-motor-vehicle-safety-standards-minimum-sound-requirements-for-hybrid-and-electric-vehicles

As for a bicycle bell, the old, collectable ones can be extremely valuable.   This pre-war ( The Great War, that is), Red Lion, New Departure cost somebody more than I've paid for some motorcycles.  https://thecabe.com/forum/threads/crazy-rare-1912-new-departure-red-lion-bell.230766/#post-1593549

I like the "Twin Chime" design.  These really sound nice.  https://a.media-amazon.com/images/I/41faaQpm1GL._AC_.jpg

among the reasons i like my e-bike is that it allows me to near-effortlessly, near-silently glide about on the back streets of my town. i use the bell and wave when i see friends.

2:30 pm, and still no recumbent trike. it was 40 miles away in charlotte on saturday evening. come on, fed-ex!

We have had no end of  issues at work with Fed Ex .

The most hilarious one was they lost a parcel going to Melbourne in Victoria, after a lot of hassle they eventually found it and instead of delivering it redirected it to the previous consignment address in Brisbane Queensland 1500 miles away.

Luckily for us the previous consignment address was another staff member but it could have ended up  anywhere.

kent 20" cavalier recumbent trike arrived today, some assembly required, bring your own hex wrenches. very different feel. planning to e-fit it eventually. some minor QC issues from the factory, since this is the very cheapest tadpole trike i could find with a brick-and-mortar presence, i expect there will be some failure modes. they sell a 26" as well.

Looks sporty! Take your wrenches on the shake down run. Maybe a spare tube & pump too. "Slime" is a reliable anti-flat compound.

I have seen a number of recumbent bicycles being ridden on the roads in the SF Bay Area but I have never seen anything like that before.

The bay Area has a much higher average income. Spandex-clad well aged or joint-challenged bicyclists have to keep up appearances, you know... ::)

In the wayback when we moved from the Needles area to San Clemente for job purposes we saw the dead-by-the-roadside car population change from old Chevys & Fords to Volvos, Mercedes & Beemers. Mo' money mo' money mo' money! ;D

Don't forget to fit a flag on a long pole so you don't get run over by a big truck  :)

You could confuse the drivers of shiny pickups by putting a confederate flag on it, lol

In Europe lightweight bicycle trailers are common, my sister used to cart her kids around in one when they were little.  I've seen a couple of home made ones from old bicycle wheels, thin plywood, and dexian
