found vintage fairings that look very close to hitchcocks and are much much less money.

does anyone know how good these might fit on an electra??

They will fit fine.
You will need to fabricate your own brackets.

would i have to design something like this for the head light?

I think i can weld that up. Sure wish i had a mig welder, cause stick feels messy i get good welds 75% of the time.

It should come with a plastic headlight bucket for mounting the headlight.
The fairing mounts to the frame front down tube gussets. You drill holes in the gussets and bolt a forward "y" bracket that goes between the fork tubes in the middle of the triple clamp, and the splits and curves up on both sides of the headlight bucket, and goes thru grommeted holes in the fairing behind the windscreen. That mounts it at the front. Then you bolt a cross bar mounting bracket across the front engine mount for the front of the lowers. And the last mount is a "v" mount from the front down tube to the screws that affix the main fairing to where the tops of the lowers join on.
These are all very stout tubing that is at least 1" diameter.
