I bent a footpeg and scraped the end of the footpeg rubber on my 2010 Bullet C5 (you can guess how) and had to replace it. I bought OEM parts from Hitchcocks and am trying to figure out how to push the damn rubber on. I believe both the mounting arm and the rubber are the correct parts. I can slide the rubber on partway, enough to make the bike rideable, but how do I get it on the rest of the way -- do I have to ream out the channel in the inside of the rubber with a screwdriver?

Rich, I feel your pain ! May I suggest that you use Ronsonal lighter fluid or alcohol and shove it on. Works well with handlebar grips also. If you ream them they'll vibrate off.

Get a mallet and tap, tap, tap.

Boil some water, turn off the heat and put the rubber in said water for a few minutes. The rubber should now be pliable enough to press on.

I have had good luck getting footpeg covers on with KY gel & a heavy hammer. when it dries out it's not slippery anymore.
