Recently purchased a 1999 Bullet 500. Feel in love the first day I was texted pictures that it was for sale. I knew it was gonna be mine. Made a deal with the wife. She got a new double oven and kitchen floor, in turn I got the Bullet. She had been sitting for a few years. Was pretty dirty, dripped from every hole.
Cleaned her all up, replaced some parts I got from Hitchcocks, took her to 3 bike shows. Won 1st place twice and a clubs choice award.
Now my Harley sits in the garage. LOL

Very nice, I see why she won!

Glad you enjoy the Bullet, and welcome to the party. Plenty of knowledgeable people around here (I'm not one of them.)

I keep saying I'm going to put my Bullet in a show. I feel like she's got what it takes.

Welcome aboard! That's a real pretty Bullet, and with a proper right-hand shift, to boot. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something kind of "dashing" about having that plain old style "Enfield" logo on the tank.

When you wrote, "She had been sitting for a few years. Was pretty dirty, dripped from every hole. Cleaned her all up...", I kind of missed the gear change and at first thought you were still talking about the wife.  :o

I pictured you wearing one of these T-shirts...

So badass my Enfield's actually illegal  in India. Yet it squeaks by here in Virginia.

That's a very clean example, but who stole your front fender?

I have the fender. The guy I bought it from was going for the dirt trackin/bobber look. I like it without it.

You should definitely show your bike. I was scared at first, never been any thing but a spectator before. The Enfield is for sure an eye catcher at any show. Dont get many looks from the younger crowd though. I have spent hours talking to older gentleman who used to own british bikes or were stationed overs sea's during the war. Almost every person that looks at mine says"Ive never seen of these around here before" Makes for a nice conversation starter. Take your bike to a show, you won't regret it.
