Broken my winter gloves out. Nice and warm, but I can't always tell by feel, whether I've cancelled my indicators. The telltale light in the speedo is invisible in daylight. I'm sure I've read about higher wattage replacements:
- Is it easy to get the current ones out and new ones in?
- Does anyone have a part no. / description, or a link?

Thanks.

You could try upgrading to LED bulbs. I have a 2017 Classic 500 that uses 194 wedge base type incandescent bulbs for the turn signal, neutral and high beam indicators. The LED bulbs were much brighter and easier to see in daylight.

Check out the links below for reference...

or do a search for instrument bulbs

I fitted LEDs for the neutral and indicator warning lights but left the high beam light incandescent.
I only use the high beam in the dark, so it will stand out fine without being glaringly bright.

Thanks. I've ordered similar 194 LEDs from UK Amazon.  Do I need to take the headlight off, to get to the bulbs?

I didn't when I changed mine, you can access the bulb holders from the back,  between the fork legs. I did use artery forceps though - I have fat fingers.

I did a side by side durability / life test of three types of inexpensive, Ebay sourced LEDs.  My 2012 C5 uses BA9s (mini bayonet socket) types for all the small bulbs including the "tiger eyes" / parking lights.  Two types tried had very poor longevity, less than a few months.

These "cob type" lasted the longest and I bought a couple of ten packs.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-1156-BA9S-P21W-COB-12V-LED-Car-Backup-Reverse-Indicator-Turn-Light-Lamp-Bu-Y/174453276972   Although the bulb looks yellow, the light is quite white.  All the LEDs I tried were brighter than incandescents.

I got mine from Classic car LEDs Ltd https://www.classiccarleds.co.uk/
Not the cheapest, but they seem to be decent quality

Put them on yesterday. Not too bad, I used a hook to get the bulb holder out and push them back in. Did the neutral light while in there. Much, much more visible. Thanks.
